We have had another fantastic week of learning and there has been so much to celebrate and be proud of in Nursery!
These children worked extremely hard and have been rewarded for all of their determination and efforts.
E for Excellence
George: for your mathematical understanding. You recognised numbers of objects to 5 by sight, learnt to count in pairs and discussed odd and even!
Kian: For demonstrating persistence and motivation with your toilet training
Lirsa: For coming back to nursery with a happy, positive attitude after a break away
Domanic:For making positive efforts to engage with nursery activities
Amaya: For your enthusiasm and determination to write your name
Ava-Rose: For demonstrating your knowledge about minibeasts and sharing your ideas with your peers
Matthew: For making strong friendships at nursery and being kind
Zyana: For joining in games and making good friendships at nursery

Obstacle Course
Friday 16th July 2021
Charity Event for The Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund
This year all pupils will have the opportunity to participate in a big obstacle course.
They will climb in, out & over a series obstacles, scramble under cargo nets, crawl through tyres and tunnels, over walls and monkey bars as well as running across the open field. There may be some water involved as well!
Every child can start to collect sponsorship. All of the monies raised will go towards The Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund.
Unfortunately due to covid restrictions parents will not be able to attend the sports day events. As a team we will do our very best to record and take pictures of the children to share on the blog. Whilst we understand the importance for parents to be included through media, the children will always be our main focus, supporting them through each activity and ensuring they have an amazing time.
Clothing:
Can children please wear normal school uniform with jogging bottoms or leggings and suitable trainers for running and climbing. The course will take place on the school field. The children will get dirty during the obstacle course.
Please bring in your sponsorship forms and money by Friday 16th July for this great charity.
So get ready for some sports day fun!

Important notice:
The last day of nursery is: THURSDAY 22nd July 2021
Please RETURN any items belonging to the nursery you may
have at home.
Unfortunately we are still awaiting the RETURN of SPARE CLOTHING
loaned to children who had no clothing in nursery. As well as the
RETURN of READING BOOKS which were part of the bedtime story
scheme.
We would very much appreciate their return in order to continue
providing these services.

Transition story time with Reception teachers
As the majority of children transition to reception class in September, they
received special visits at story time all this week from their new class teachers.
The children were able to ask their teachers questions, learn their names and
listen to some of their favourite stories.
Our favourite activities
This week the children have been enjoying playing with some of their favorite
activities we have had over the past year.
SHAPE Activity (Wellbeing Curriculum)
SHAPE Activity Focus: ATTITUDE
We have been learning about, growing, and spreading positivity,
optimism, resourcefulness, resilience, and grit as we prepare
for transition to the summer holidays and reception.
This week the children have been talking about moving to their
new classes and leaving nursery. For some the idea their friends
will not be here next year is upsetting, with peers comforting each
other and trying to form new friendships in preparation for the transition.
The children have been talking about what they have enjoyed this
year, how much they love their teachers and what they will be doing
over the holidays with their families.
