On Wednesday the 31st of January we have a mobile farm coming to visit the Nursery for the morning. Children in afternoon sessions are very welcome to swap their afternoon session for a morning session on this day. Morning sessions run from 8.30am and children are collected by 11.30am.

Notice:
The nursery team would like to remind parents:
Please leave a bag with a spare set of clothing at nursery. This bag should be a labelled drawstring bag or a carier bag.
As we do not have space for rucksacks, from January childrens rucksacks will be returned and belongings placed in a carrier bag. Rucksacks take up space on pegs making it challenging for the children to access their belongings.

We would also like to remind parents toys from home are not allowed in the nursery. They can be dangerous, cause incidents over sharing and the children become very upset when they get lost or damaged.

Thank you for your understanding

It has been lovely to see the children settle quickly back into Nursery after the Christmas break. This half term we are exploring the topic 'Animals' and we have started by reading 'The Three Little Pigs'.
The children have been enjoying joining in with the repeated phrases in the story such as 'I'll huff and puff and will blow your house down'. They have been using their story skills in the tuff tray with pig and wolf characters.

The children enjoyed finding and collecting linking number squares outside. They then hopped along the numbers and adults encouraged them to count in order as they hopped.

Some lovely houses have been created for the three little pigs this week. They have been using their fine motor skills to open and shut the scissors to create collages.

The children have been creating ramps for their cars independently outside this week. They have created barriers to make the cars stop and have been really good at taking turns and sharing the resources.

We have been creating lots of small world cities using our construction resources. The children have been encouraged to work together to build and create. They have made bus routes, cinemas and some fantastic shops and flats!

Thank you nursery for a great start to the new year
