Nursery Weekly Newsletter

Term: Autumn 1 Date 07.10.13

The children have continued to settle well and during our short carpet sessions. Most of the children are sitting on the carpet and enjoying taking part in the songs and stories. They have been singing many nursery rhymes and acting out the story of the Hungry Caterpillar. This week we have a visit from the “Owl Man’’ on Wednesday. Therefore we will be learning all about Owls and we will return to our fruit and vegetable topic the week after.

Messages.

We still have a large amount of blue jumpers and cardigans that are not named. If you know you have one missing please speak to a member of staff. Also thank you to all the parents who have labelled their children’s clothes; it really does make it easier for everyone involved.

Please ensure your child has a pair of named wellington boots and a suitable coat / rain mac in school. We do go out in all-weather plus the children do have access to water all of the time. We ensure that the children wear an apron whenever they use the water but unfortunately they do get wet sometimes. We had some spare clothes but they have all been given out and we are awaiting their return. Therefore please ensure your children have spare clothes on their peg, so that we can change them if they get wet.

Please remember on Wednesday 9th October the “Owl man” is visiting Nursery in the morning. Afternoon Nursery children are invited to attend the morning session only 8.30 am – 11.30 am. Afternoon Nursery will be closed on this day only.

Finally, if your child completes a piece of Art work at home that you would like us to display please bring it in and we will happily do so.
Thank you for your support

The Nursery Team
