Nursery Newsletter 06.10.14

Term: Autumn 1
Date: 06.10.13

The children have continued to settle well and during our short carpet sessions. Most of the children are sitting on the carpet and enjoying taking part in the songs and stories. They have been singing many nursery rhymes and acting out the stories. This week we will have a visit from the “Owl Man’’ on Tuesday. Therefore we will be learning all about Owls and we will return to our ‘Ourselves’ topic the week after. We will be singing ‘Grey Squirrel’ and ‘If your happy and you know it.'

Messages
  • We still have a large amount of blue jumpers and cardigans that are not named. If you know you have one missing please speak to a member of staff. Thank you to all the parents who have labelled their children’s clothes; it really does make it easier for everyone involved.
  • Please ensure your child has a pair of named wellington boots and a suitable coat / rain mac in school. We do go out in all-weather plus the children do have access to water all of the time. The children went out in the puddles last week, unfortunately some children couldn’t join in as they didn’t have wellies.
  • Please remember on Tuesday 7th October the “Owl man” is visiting Nursery in the morning. Afternoon Nursery children are invited to attend the morning session only 8.30 am – 11.30 am. Afternoon Nursery will be closed on this day only.
  • Finally, we will be staring our book borrowing scheme, please borrow a book from our Nursery Book Box and sign it out in your child’s reading record book. It would be great if you could complete one of the book reviews and return it to the Nursery.
Thank you for your support
