The children in Reception and Nursery thoroughly enjoyed seeing and learning about the different owls today. Guess what everyone? We learnt a new word.. Nocturnal. Do you know what it means? Phil told us that Nocturnal animals are only active at night time. The children were very lucky and even got a chance to stroke an owl!
Our favourite owls were called, Pod, Scamp and Boo Boo Owl. Scamp kept making funny noises at Phil when he was blowing his whistle for him to come to him. This was very funny as Scamp kept misbehaving and not listening to Phil but eventually he flew over to him for some food. He was just like Bill in our story of the week 'Owl Babies'.
