Our visit from Chris Wormell

As it is World book day on Thursday we were very lucky to have a visit from the children's author and illustrator Chris Wormell.

Chris spoke with the children about his stories and illustrations and together with the children he designed a new character. The children named him the 'creature who wore a hat'.

Chris then read one of his stories called 'Scruffy Ted and the six white mice.' In this story a small scruffy bear meets six terrified white mice; they're scared of the dark forest and all the predatory creatures that live there, including an owl, a fox and a slithery snake. . . . But never fear, Scruffy Bear has all kinds of ingenious ideas about how to keep them safe!

Remember on Thursday you can come to school dressed as a character from your favourite book!
