Brilliant Beanstalks!

After planting our own beanstalks a few weeks ago, some of them have flourished and out grown their pots. The children have been checking on their beanstalks daily, ensuring they were well cared for and watered. The children observed and discussed the changes they saw daily and all now know what a seed or bean needs to grow.

After deciding we needed to replant some of the beanstalks (that were now well past the giant's castles) we discussed where we could do this. Some of the children talked about their gardens and decided to take them home to plant and others decided our flower beds at school would be another good idea. There is still lots on the window sill which are starting to grow, the children are keeping a close eye on them.

Apple class were worried that the beanstalks might fall over without support so Miss Richardson and a team of avid gardeners produced a sturdy and impressive bean frame for them to grow up. We cannot wait to see how high they grow!

Iyinope "Our beans need lots of sunlight, not too much water and lots of love and care."
Ella "My beanstalk is the tallest, I hope it keeps on growing. I'm going to plant it at school.
