Star Readers: Louie and Keira!

Louie and Keira are the first pupils from Alder class to get a certificate for reading 10 books.

Both Keira and Louie have spent time learning the key characters names which can be found in the front of the reading record. Keira reads with fantastic expression. Louie uses super verbs!

Both Keira's and Louie's parents have recorded (every single time they read!) in their reading record. This is brilliant as we know just how much they are reading at home and also when they are able to get a certificate.

Reading at home is vital if your child is to become a confident and fluid reader. It is important your child continues to practise the skills they have learnt in school at home. Another great way to foster your child’s love for reading and extend their vocabulary is to share bedtime stories with your child.

Louie does not just read books from school, he also reads books from home and these are also recorded in his reading record.

Well done Louie and Keira, keep it up! I wonder who will be Alder class' next star reader?
