Nursery Weekly Newsletter

Term: Spring 2 Date 24.03.14

We will move on to ‘Dinosaurs’ for the last 2 weeks of this term. Many of the children have expressed an interest in this topic. We will endeavour to develop many skills through their enagement of such an engrossing topic.

Science week went really well. We had the great boat race, aeroplane making/flying and bubble blowing. Photos of some of these activities can be found on our Early Years Page.

We also had Sports Relief, where the children got the opportunity to take part in various activities including running around the field and throwing sponges at various members of staff…great fun was had by all. Thank you for all of your kind donations.

The story for the week is ‘Dinosaur Roar’. The ‘Dinosaur Dance’ and ‘5 Little Dinosaurs’.

Messages.
Thank you to all of the parents who sent in numbers they had cut out with their children, we still need some more to create our collage. In relation to the children’s mathematical development we would like to make a display of numbers, from the environment. Therefore we would appreciate it if you could assist your child in looking for numbers in old catalogues, magazines and packets and bring them in to school.

We have had a number of children bringing in toys from home. We would appreciate it if you could encourage them not to do so. We already have plenty of toys and activities to keep the children engaged and busy. These toys often get lost, broken or cause disagreements between the children.

Thank you for your continued support.

Kind Regards

The Nursery Team

Ten in the bed
There were ten in the bed and the little one said
"Roll over, roll over"
So they all rolled over and one fell out
Repeat down to one.

Five Little Men in a Flying Saucer
Five little men in a flying saucer
Flew round the earth one day
They looked left and right
But they didn’t like the sight
So one man flew away.
Repeat down to one.
