Thomas choose to do his homework on the water cycle. I think you'll agree, what a fantastic diagram. He even remembered our water cycle song to match his diagram. Well done, Thomas.

EYFS Graduation

We are immensely proud of all the children in Aspen and Fern. They have been an absolute delight to teach this year. To finish the year, all the children took part in a Graduation celebration.

Our Superhero Cruz

Yesterday on the way home from school Cruz found a lost hedgehog and took it with his mummy to a  rescue centre. What a kind, thoughtful thing to do Cruz.

Cruz shared his pictures of the lost hedgehog with Fern Class and taught them that...

"By the time Cruz and his friends become adults, hedgehogs will become extinct." A great fact Cruz! 

Libby teaches Fern all about staying safe in the sun

Libby brought her fun in the sun project in to share with us today and what a lovely treat it was. Libby spoke to the children about how to stay safe in the sun.

Callum and Nikola's Homework

Well done to Callum and Nikola for returning their homework. Both pieces were very different. Nikola decided to make a collage of Summer fun and Callum made an informative poster about keeping safe in the Sun. We would really like to see some more homework returned over the next couple of days.

Finley and Laiba's fantastic summer fun projects

Finley and Laiba are the only two children in Fern class to produce projects this term. What a delight it has been to hear them discussing how they made their projects with their families and all about their summer fun.

Reception Graduation reminder

The children in Aspen and Fern invite their parents and guardians to a graduation celebration tomorrow  (Friday 19th July) at 2pm in the new hall. We look forward to seeing you all.

Travelling Around The World

The children had an exciting week this week travelling around the World. They jetted off to France, Spain, India, Africa and Italy. On their travels, they danced, painted, tried various foods and took part in African Drumming. The children had to find out a different fact about each country and got to decorate flags.

Reception Weekly Newsletter

Term: Summer 2 Date 15.07.13

As the term comes to an end, we will be completing our transition unit.
The children will be listening to the story of ‘The Little mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry and the Big Hungry Bear’ and carry out activities based around it.

They will be writing invitations to children in Year One to attend a Strawberry Tea Party in our garden area and enjoy eating strawberries and ice cream together. 

The children will also be visiting their new classes and meeting their new teachers, where they can ask questions and find out what Year one is like.

They will be producing work to be displayed in their new class ready for when they move up in September.

Please remember to bring in your homework this week. It may be a collage about your holidays, fun times in the sun, keeping safe in the sun or about the importance of water.
