Tutu and the Challenge!

Tutu has been finding out lots of facts about squirrels for the nursery challenge.  She told Mrs Chisholm  that squirrels have big eyes and bushy tails.  They eat nuts, fruit and seeds and cannot see when they are born.  Tutu described the process of completing her challenge, "the printer printed it out".  She had brought in a lovely picture of the squirrel to show us.

Reading in the Nursery

As previously mentioned you are welcome to start borrowing books from the Nursery trolley. Please do this at the beginning of sessions only, as the end of sessions are far to hectic and our focus needs to be on returning the children to you safely.

 

Your child's red reading record should be kept in school.

 

 

Simply write the date and name of the book you wish to borrow.  When you return the book also record the date. Please only borrow one book at a time.

 

 

 

If you wish to complete a book review with your child please help yourself, it would be good to aim to complete one review a week.

Olivers Amazing Writing

Oliver was very pleased today to bring in his writing to the afternoon nursery that he had done with his mum at home.  His mum wrote the words 'mummy' and 'Rebecca' and Oliver was able to trace over the top using his fine motor skills.

Nursery Morning Learning Challenge

Peter was busy at the weekend with his mum.  She had cut out 5 speckled frogs for him to colour in so that they could sing the rhyme together at home.  When Peter came into nursery this morning he counted up to number 5.  Well done Peter.

Charlie's Fantastic Lighthouse

Following our story of  'The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch', Charlie felt inspired to make his own lighthouse at home. We have added it to a story table which the children are now carefully using as a prop to enhance their story telling skills. Thank you Charlie!
