The winners of our Children in Need competition were today presented with their tote bags. The bags have had their winning designs printed onto them. 

A huge thank you to the wonderful guys at Nickel Press Printers for kindly printing these for us.  What an amazing job they have done!

School Council Trip to Dersingham

Some of the school council attended Dersingham Primary today. We enjoy making links with other schools, and exchanged some great ideas. We had a tour and took part in some fun activities.

School Council Dersingham visits

The school council have been making links with Dersingham Primary School. As a school we feel it is important to make links with other schools to share good practise and to give our children the opportunity to see how other schools do things. Some of the school council went to Dersingham Primary yesterday where we played on their roof top garden and took part in a healthy eating workshop.

We returned the favour today. We organised mini workshops where our school council children taught their children about:

-The Houses of Parliament and passing laws

-Our ABC Anti-bullying Code

-Stroke Awareness Day

The Dersingham staff and pupils were incredibly impressed by our amazing school and grounds.

School Council - Houses of Parliament Visit

Wow, what an experience. The school Council Members (Year 2 and above) went on the most amazing visit today. We had a tour of The Houses of Parliament, we even got access to the House of Commons, and witnessed a debate about a possible new an Eco-law.  We then took part in a workshop which taught us how to make laws.  The children represented the school well and were a joy to spend the day with. Furthermore a big Thank you goes to Miss Taylor, from the office and Mrs Pike, for joining us and making the day so pleasurable.

Fundraising day for Brandina

A reminder that Thursday 23rd October will be a dressing up day. We ask that your child comes to school dressed as people who help us, doctors, nurses, fire fighters etc.
We are raising money for Brandina so a donation of 50p would be much appreciated.

 

 

School Council Trip

Chloe, Kieron, Alex and Kirsty were lucky enough to go on a visit this afternoon to Prygo Priory Primary. We enjoyed a School Council Cluster meeting with other Harold Hill Schools. It was a great opportunity to look around and catch up with other School Councils.

Houses of Parliament - School Council

The Key Stage 2 School Council had an amazing trip to the Houses of Parliament. We had a tour and took part in a workshop. We were also lucky enough to meet our local MP Angela Watkinson.

Brandina's box

Thanks to all of the children who helped to write the shopping list for Brandina's box. Four members of the school council Samantha, Fletcher, Chloe and Kieran took Miss Taylor shopping to purchase the goods for the box. The children were extremely thoughtful and considered Brandina's needs carefully taking into account her environment and situation. Well done children!
