Owl Babies swoop into Reception!

Owl Babies swoop into Reception!

This week in Reception, as part of our Topic, we have been reading the story Owl Babies. The children have loved getting creative, they used googly eyes, glitter and paint to make their very own Owl Babies! They had so much fun and as you can see from the pictures they are all very talented artists and the Owl Babies all looked amazing! They have also been learning all about owls and other nocturnal animals and finding out what they get up to at night.  The children worked hard to write a sentence about what owls can do. They also enjoyed story mapping the key events from the story and putting the pictures from the story into the correct order. At the end of the week, Reception were so excited to receive a letter from Bill the Owl Baby! He said how sad he was that his mummy was missing and all of the children wrote back to Bill to reassure him with their kind words. All of the children in Reception have loved learning all about Owl Babies this week.
