The fairies have arrived!

Sshh...we don't want to wake the fairies. Miss Richarsdon and the reception children have been busy creating a fairy garden...toadstools, fairy doors, fairy dust and a fairy washing line adding to the excitement of the fairies arriving. Jessica and Charlie have been doing a great job looking after our new small world area.

Maths in Early Years

The children have been enjoying learning how to construct calculations using the correct symbols by using pegs and lolly sticks before applying it to their written calculations.

The children were challenged to find different ways to make 10.

KidSpace

Aspen class celebrated their fantastic attendance record this term with a trip to Kidspace. What a fantastic afternoon and a perfect end to a great year. Everyone had an immense amount of fun. Matthew summed it up by saying, "This is awesome!"

Super Mathematician!

Arya has been relishing the challenge of his daily Kumon. Week on week he is getting speedier and is accuracy is improving all the time. His commitment has ensured that in his last assessment, he got full marks with an excellent time of 10 minutes. The Kumon correspondence, Marie said that he was absolutely brilliantly. She also commented on the very neat presentation of his work.

New managers of the Minibeast Hotel have now been appointed. The Reception children worked brilliantly with Danielle ( from the Essex Wildlife Trust) to ensure the hotel is now of a 5star standard. The hotel is now fully booked with lots of creepy crawlies checking in to spend time in the hotel throughout the Summer.
