We continue our Amazing Animal Topic, the children have been involved with making the most wonderful Jungle display, they have enjoyed exploring and mixing paint to create snakes, lions and an enormous crocodile.
We were also lucky enough to have a visit from an author Chris Wormell, this week to celebrate National Book week, as well as the children getting the opportunity to dress as a book character, we hope you got an opportunity to look at the photos on our EYFS page.
Our book of the week is ‘Giraffes can’t dance’’ and we will be singing the songs ‘Mary, Mary’ and ‘Pussycat’.

The learning challenge will include either a nursery rhyme, illustration or a piece of music. Please talk to your child about the challenge and help them to engage in their learning. The children can choose how they present their learning challenge outcomes to their teacher or class.

The Nursery Team
Mary had a little lamb
Mary had a little lamb its fleece was white as snow;And everywhere that Mary went, the lamb was sure to go.
It followed her to school one day, which was against the rule;
It made the children laugh and play, to see a lamb at school.
And so the teacher turned it out, but still it lingered near,
And waited patiently about till Mary did appear.
"Why does the lamb love Mary so?" the eager children cry;
"Why, Mary loves the lamb, you know" the teacher did reply.
Pussycat Pussycat poem
"Pussycat pussycat, where have you been?"
"I've been up to London to visit the Queen."
"Pussycat pussycat, what did you there?"
"I frightened a little mouse under her chair""MEOWW!"
