We will be reading many texts this week
including ‘The Dawn Chorus’. We will be singing various songs in preparation
for our Graduation Ceremony. Furthermore
we have decided to revisit all of the phonics that we have covered over the last few weeks and focus on orally blending simple CVC words.

- Focusing attention - still listen or do, but can shift own attention.

- Imitates movement in response to music.
- Uses talk in pretending that objects stand for something else in play, e.g. 'This box is my castle.'
Each half term we will be setting our pupils a
challenge related to their learning, this is in line with the rest of the
school. We believe that it is important for us to provide guidance for parents
on how their children's learning can be extended at home.
The learning challenge will include either a
nursery rhyme, illustration or a piece of music. Please talk to your child
about the challenge and help them to engage in their learning. The children can
choose how they present their learning challenge outcomes to their teacher or
class however the table below details some ideas for the learning challenge.
Person: A Pirate/Princes of own choice
Painting: Janet Ahlberg (illustrator)
Row, row, row the boat.
Poem/Song to learn:
Row, row, row your boat,
Gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream.

Early Years Picnic – 11.30-12.30 – Friday 26th June
We look forward to seeing you at the Early Years picnic. Your child must be accompanied by an adult if they wish to attend. Morning children need to be collected at the usual time and then the accompanying adult can come back in until 12.30. Afternoon children can come to school at 11.30 as long as they have an adult with them. Please don’t forget your picnic!
Thank you.

Nursery Team
