Pumpkin Geoboards were very popular in Nursery last week. The children carefully stretched loom bands over nails inserted into the pumpkins to create their own patterns and shapes. There were many learning opportunities; the children used fine motor skills to attach the bands, they began counting the bands and naming the shapes they had created and the children had some great conversations about the different pumpkins and squashes they were exploring. Next week they will be able to create their own geoboards using golf tees and hammers!
"This one is heavy, look it goes down!" Rosie
