Making Masks in Reception

Elliot really wanted to be batman this morning but unfortunately there was no batman mask to be found. Elliot decided that to fix this problem he would be very resourceful and make his own bat man mask. He drew the shape of the mask and with some help cut around the foam. Then with help he attached the ribbon to his mask and made sure it was the perfect size. Polina and Donna- Marie thought this was a great idea and made their own superhero masks too.

Finger Gym Challenge

In Aspen and Apple class the children have been enjoying a 'Finger Gym' challenge. We will have different activities to help the children develop strong, flexible fingers, hands and arms so they are ready to write. They have had great fun challenging themselves to pick the pom-poms or marbles and place them on the sticky hands with tweezers.

Nursery Wishing Tree

Thank you to all of the Nursery parents who have completed a leaf detailing the aspirations they have for their children. The tree looks amazing with your thoughtful comments.

Our new height chart

Look at our new height chart. We will be measuring ourselves throughout the year to see how much we have grown during our time in the Early Year's. We will use our height chart to measure different objects to see which is the tallest and shortest.

Indie's Summer Project

Over the summer holidays Indie created a scrap book of all the exciting things she had done. Indie confidently and clearly shared her scrap book with Apple Class and was able to answer questions that the children asked her about her exciting summer.

Well done Indie, a fantastic project:). Thank you for sharing it us.

Our first visit to our school library

Throughout the week in Apple Class the children will each go to the school library with Miss Sparkes to listen to a story and to choose a library book for their class to read. Today, the children even got to scan their own books! Next week it will be Aspen's turn.
