Hunting for signs of Spring!

Reception have been busy this week looking out for signs of spring and there was plenty to be found! Before setting out on a hunt the children discussed and shared ideas that they might be looking for. They worked together and took their time exploring the school grounds. The daffodils were an easy spot and sighted all over the school. "Look at the daffodils over there, they are really bright" said Saarah as we spotted some more.

The children had to look a little harder to spot blossom, but they successfully found a few trees in blossom. Ethan explained to the class that "in the autumn some trees loose their leaves, some trees don't loose their leaves though. Like Christmas trees". Augustas was quick to spot the buds on the Apple tree that have recently started growing. Other signs of spring found were bees, a variety of other flowers and new leaves.

Can you spot any signs of spring near your house?
