Healthy Eating in Reception

Healthy Eating week in Reception was great fun for all of the children.  Of course we want our children to enjoy a varied range of healthy foods.  The children got an opportunity to try a range of different fruits and vegetables each day. During these food tasting sessions the children were encouraged to talk about their likes and dislikes and describe the food using all of their senses. Most of the children made an effort to at least test the foods and were proud of themselves for being adventurous.

At the end of each day the children took part in some kind of alternative exercise or relaxation techniques such as yoga or meditation.  These activities were enjoyable and the children asked to do more of them!
