Nursery Learning : Week Beginning 1/7/24

Morning: 10:30am 

Afternoon: 2:30pm

Police Visit

This week we have been learning about the role of the Police. The children have enjoyed dressing up as police officers and learning about all of the different jobs they do. The children were very lucky to have two lady police officers visit the Nursery, they got to talk to them about their uniform and even got to try on some of it. 

Role Play

The children have enjoyed using out kitcamp to build a police car, the children enjoyed using their imagination to construct the car and spent a long time engaging in role play catching baddies in their car. They also enjoyed setting up a shop outside and worked hard selling their items in the shop. 

Theo the reading dog

The children have loved visiting Theo the reading dog in the Library. Theo has been very popular and the children have enjoyed sharing stories with him. They have been very gentle with Theo and he enjoyed all of the rubs. 

Colour Mixing

We have been learning about colour mixing. The children enjoyed mixing colours to create their artwork. Colour mixing can help children develop their creativity and critical thinking through overserving cause and effect when colours are mixed. Click here to watch a song about colour mixing
