Nursery: Home Learning, 17/12/2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

Today we have some activities for your child whilst at home. These will also be shared with you on Evidence Me Parent Share.

Story: All I want for Christmas, with Miss St Louis

ActivityBedtime Story

Yesterday, we had our bedtime story with hot chocolate and pyjamas on around a campfire!

You could do the same at home, all you need is:

-A sheet/ blanket to go on the floor
-A collection of sticks to put in the middle for a pretend campfire
-Hot chocolate or another warm drink!

Shape Challenge

Shapes are all around us and the example below includes drawing a shape outline and filling it with items or placing them around the outside, printing shapes with cardboard tubes and using pringle tubs or other recycling you have to make shape monsters.

Here is a Shape Song that you may enjoy joining in with at home.

Bedtime Story at home!

Access e-books and audio books for free through this link. All you need is your library card or your phone number to sign in: https://llc.overdrive.com/library/youth/

Please upload any photos or videos of your child joining in with the activities using Evidence Me. You will need to tag your child in it for us to view.

Many of you have understandably chosen not to send your children in this week with the run up to the Christmas Holidays. Havering have confirmed that these absences will be authorised due to the exceptional circumstances as a bubble closure would mean self-isolating (staying at home without mixing) across Christmas.

If you have any questions you can contact us on eyfs@broadford.havering.sh.uk

Kind regards,

The Nursery Team
