PC Wayne Hopkins came into school this afternoon to talk with a small group of Year 5/6 children who aspire to be in the police force when they grow up. He told the children how he got his current post as a constable, what he had to do to get there, what his job entails and what his key responsibilities are. Wayne informed the children that Literacy was the most important skill he needs within his job and a skill he uses daily to write statements, evidence and letters.
The children were shown numerous Police hats which were used for different roles within the police.
Did you know that there are 32,000 police officers in London?
