It was great fun celebrating World Book Day across the school today. We saw some amazing, well thought out costumes. The children had an exciting day and enjoyed talking about their favourite characters and stories. This was a good opportunity to promote the love and importance of reading. We aim for all of our children to become confident readers by the age of 6 years, so that they access all areas of the curriculum. We feel strongly about this at Broadford and offer many initiatives to encourage the children to develop a love of reading. It is great to see that so many of our parents read with their children every day!
