Dear Parents,
Our caterpillars continue to grow, the children have been very interested in the changes that have been taking place with them. They can’t wait for the caterpillars to build their cocoons.
Furthermore this week, we will be reading the text ‘The Bad Tempered Ladybird’ and carrying out related tasks.

Walking down the ramp:
It is that time of year when we start to encourage the children to develop their independence skills even further and walk down the ramp with their peers. If you feel you child is ready, please encourage them to do so. Parents and carers can stand at the top of the ramp and watch them walk safely in their classrooms. This usually helps with the transition in Year 1.
The learning objectives:
Personal, Social and Emotional
ELG: They are confident to speak in a familiar group, will talk about their ideas, and will choose the resources they need for their chosen activities.
Aware of the boundaries set, and of behavioural expectations in the setting.

Learning Challenge
Each half term we will be setting our pupils a challenge related to their learning. We believe that it is important for us to provide guidance for parents on how their children's learning can be extended at home.
The learning challenge will include either a nursery rhyme, famous person, illustration or a piece of music. Please talk to your child about the challenge and help them to engage in their learning. The children can choose how they present their learning challenge outcomes to their teacher or class. Please find some ideas in the table below. Please ensure the completed challenge is handed in to your child’s teacher by Monday 21st May, so that the certificates can be prepared.
