Dates

Wednesday, March 26, 1:30 – 2:30pm- We are inviting you to our Mother's Day Lunch, where you can join your child in their environment to celebrate YOU!

This week in the art area, we have been focusing on colour mixing and controlling the paintbrush. We have looked at Kandinsky's circles for inspiration. The children loved making the colours and adding white to turn them into pastel shades.

The warm weather has meant that we have has the water trays out and we have been using our outdoor area to give more opportunities to explore colour mixing.

The children have also been making a special card for a special person... Mums will have to be patient as we will send these home next week.

Our children have lots and lots of fantastic construction resources in the environment that they can access and use at anytime. Here are a few examples of some of the things the children have mad this week, either independently or with friends.

In our very popular malleable area, the children have been adding craft resources to the playdough to create different creatures. The have been rolling, pressing, cutting, poking and sticking.

his week in the indoor sand tuff tray we have included some enhancements to support the children's fine motor kills and and their ability to recognise colour and sort them. The children have been using tweezers to pick up the pom poms and sort them into the matching coloured bowl.
