Reception Awards 08.01.2021

 




We have had another great week and there has been so much to celebrate in Reception! 

These children have worked extremely hard and have been rewarded for all of their hard work and efforts.

E for Excellence


Apple: Jessica, for you excellent effort whilst working from home this week. Jessica worked hard in RWI to fred talk words. She also described The Gingerbread Man and decorated and made a beautiful gingerbread house for him. Well done Jessica!




Aspen: Aryaan for his excellent RWI work. You have been completing all of your sound sessions, word time, spelling work and completing 'Hold a Sentence' work too! Well done Aryaan!





AlderAmaira: for engaging so well with home learning this week. Amaira always works so very hard and produces some wonderful pieces of work. We really are proud of your progress and efforts. Keep being a superstar!



  Star Writers 


Apple: Sonny enjoyed playing the Match and Spell game. He was able to sound out and blend the words together. Well done Sonny.




Aspen: Thomas, you have been working hard on your writing skills at home completing your Phonic Workbooks. Well done Thomas



Alder: Tyler- for working really hard with your writing this week. You have used your phonic knowledge and fred fingers to help you with the spelling of your words. Amazing effort!



Learning Power Awards

These are the key skills that our children will need to learn effectively in class and to be successful later in life. 


Resilience
These children have demonstrated perseverance, managed distractions, noticed patterns and been absorbed in their tasks. 

This has been awarded to:

Bruno, for his perseverance when building a bridge for the Gingerbread Man in his Topic lesson this week.

Billy, you worked incredibly hard, adapting your bridge design for the Gingerbread Man challenge.


Ite, for his perseverance when building a bridge for the Gingerbread Man in his Topic lesson this week.





Resourcefulness   
These pupils have been curious about learning, made links between ideas, shown imagination, reasoned methodically and capitalised on resources. 

This has been awarded to:
Adarsh, for your excellent number work and understanding of 'zero'.

  Edward - for working hard to make a Gingerbread Man. I love that you used some split pins to make your gingerbread man move and dance! Superb effort!
