The Three Little Pigs.

This week our home learning will be based around the traditional tale ‘The Three Little Pigs’.

Reception Home Learning Timetable

Please see the timetable below for Reception home learning sessions and timings. Families can decide the best times for these to take place. However we recommend that the children only sit and work for half an hour  at a time. Younger children can find it harder to concentrate for longer periods of time. It is recommended to have breaks between the sessions.

Maths (30 minutes) Link to Maths Teacher Input Counting Olympics!  In this lesson we are looking at counting objects - What objects at home could you use?   You could use a box or basket  and throw in some pieces of soft balls and then count how many pieces are in the bowl? Or you could try throwing your teddies into a basket?  Challenge: How many did you count? What is one more than that number? One less than that number?	Session 3
Topic (30 minutes) Watch Miss Hurrell's Topic Lesson Reread or listen again to the story. Look at the picture of The Wolf. Can you think of any words to describe him?  Make a wanted poster to help find the wolf!	Session 4

Red Words Spelling Test

Each week we will be adding 5 red words for your child to practice spelling. We will upload the weekly spelling test video every Friday. Please help your child to practice reading and writing the spelling words.  Click here for a blank spelling worksheet.

Challenge: Write a sentence using each spelling word and send it to your class teacher.
