Reception Home Learning Thursday 14th January 2021

 

The Three Little Pigs.

This week our home learning will be based around the traditional tale ‘The Three Little Pigs’.

We have sent Google classroom logins for the children using Evidence Me. If you have not received your child’s login please email us at eyfs@broadford.havering.sch.uk. (Please include your child’s name and class in the subject line when emailing.) The live sessions will start next week and we will be updating you with the weekly timetable.

Reception Home Learning Timetable

Please decide the best times for these to take place. However we recommend that the children only sit and work for half an hour  at a time. Younger children can find it harder to concentrate for longer periods of time. It is recommended to have breaks between the sessions.

Phonics RWI (Speed sound session 15 minutes, Word and Spelling Time & Ditty Reading  30 minutes ) Click here for RWI Online Ditty Books  Phonics RWI  RWI Virtual School	Session 2
Maths (30 minutes) Link to Maths Teacher Input Object Hunt Go on an object hunt. Can you find 11 objects?(Can be the same objects e.g 5 pencils and 6 spoons) Model counting 3 objects and 2 objects. How many altogether? Challenge: Write a number sentence. I have five cars. I have eleven toys.	Session 3
Topic (30 minutes) Watch the Disney version: The Three Little Pigs Watch Miss Hurrell's Topic Lesson Look at the picture of The Wolf and The Pig’s: Speech Bubbles What would they say?  Choose either The Wolf or The Pig’s  and write what you think the Wolf or Pig’s would say.	Session 4
End of Day Story (10 minutes) Story time with Miss Hurrell: Just You and Me	Session 5

Red Words Spelling Test

Each week we will be adding 5 red words for your child to practice spelling. We will upload the weekly spelling test video every Friday. Please help your child to practice reading and writing the spelling words.  Click here for a blank spelling worksheet.

Challenge: Write a sentence using each spelling word and send it to your class teacher.
