Reciprocity in Maths Sessions

The children in Aspen class have showed fantastic team work in their maths lessons last week. They were able to work in groups independently, listen to the ideas of other children and organise themselves to complete a task.

They worked in groups to make buildings using 3D shapes. They had to explore the properties of the 3D shapes as they built with them. After this they had to describe their buildings to the rest of the class using the shape vocabulary we had learnt.

They also worked in groups to order number cards and place the correct amount of objects on each number card. They helped each other to read the numbers, checked that other children had counted correctly and listened really well to each other's ideas. Well done Reception!
