We will be concluding our ‘Colour and Pattern’ topic this week. We will be carrying out discussions with the children this week to determine the themes for the role play and small world, as we endeavour to teach skills through the children’s interests. Furthermore our topic for next term will be ‘Superheroes’.
The children will be completing various Christmas art activities this week and towards the end of the week we will begin to send home the cards, decorations and calendars.

Each half term we will setting our pupils a challenge related to their learning. We believe that it is important for us to provide guidance for parents on how their children's learning can be extended at home.
The learning challenge will include either a nursery rhyme, illustration or a piece of music. Please talk to your child about the challenge and help them to engage in their learning. The children can choose how they present their learning challenge outcomes to their teacher or class.

Thank you to all of you for your support with the Nativity costumes. It was great to see so many of you in the audience.
We will be holding a Christmas party for the children on Thursday. You do not have to do anything different. We will provide the food and music. They need to come in their uniform and they will wear a Christmas hat that they have made in school.
We hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year and we look forward to seeing you back at school on Monday 5th January 2015.
