We are fortunate to have access to a large outside area in the EYFS. It allows the children to make new discoveries, engage in imaginary play, explore nature and science, climb, crouch, roll, paint and build amongst many other learning opportunities. All this takes place in a carefully planned and risk-assessed environment with lots of teachers to support and guide the children.
Reception had a great time playing and learning outside on Friday despite the rain but it is important that as the weather gets colder and wetter that they come to school appropriately dressed. Please make sure they have coats in case in rains and bring a pair of wellies so we can let everyone enjoy the fun of learning outdoors.
