Dear Parents/Carers,
We hope you had a lovely half term and enjoyed the lovely sunshine we have been having! We have a new week of home learning ready for you, please continue to share videos/photos via Evidence me or email to eyfs@broadford.havering.sch.uk.
Story Challenge
Miss Ahmed’s Story
Maths
Matching the numeral (number) to a quantity is an important skill. Have a look at this game to develop
counting in order.

Start by matching each balloon to the number on the paper, count the dots and place the balloon onto the correct circle. This is a great activity for gross motor development and you can come back to it throughout the week. For this activity you will need paper, a marker pen, balloons and tape.
We have lots of sea creature themed activities this week so you could also use these fish to help you count! You can place objects on them to check you have counted each one. If you make number cards from paper you can then match the correct one.

Exploring the World
Last week Aryaan shared a great creative activity idea using felt tip pens to make Paper Towel Magic.
All you need are paper towels, a plate or shallow dish and washable markers.
Andy’s Wild Workout
Join Andy on his Under the Sea Adventure and see how many sea creatures you can spot.

Beneath the waves
Do you know which sea creatures live under the waves?
You can create your own underwater scene in a box using some salt dough or craft materials you have at home.
The following link has a good salt dough recipe: https://theimaginationtree.com/salt-dough-initials/. Or you could transform your own paper plate into a sea creature!

You can explore read-along books online through the Book Trust.
Open Very Carefully is a snappy book to read together. https://www.booktrust.org.uk/books-and-reading/have-some-fun/storybooks-and-games/open-very-carefully/

How do you feel?
You can use a mirror to create funny faces and see the way your eyes, nose and mouth change. You could also use loose parts to create faces.
