RECEPTION PARENTS: Bring Your Favourite Toy To School

 

Dear Parents/Carers,

Please could you bring your child's favourite toy to school on Monday 3rd July. This week in our topic lessons we will be reading 'The Naughty Bus' by Jan & Jerry Oke and will be writing about our favourite toys.

As you may recall, we did a similar activity back in the Summer term and we would like to repeat this now that we have reached the end of the year and our children have developed their speaking, listening and literacy skills. Please note, it does not have to be the same toy but it can be.

All toys will be collected upon arrival in the morning and stored safely until the lesson. It would be useful if you could discuss the toy your child has chosen with them before Monday to support them with talking about it in class. This could include information such as where they got it, who bought it for them, whether it was a gift, how long they have had it, how they play with it etc.
