  • Parent meetings will take place February, letters to follow soon.
  • Can the children please bring in clean recycled items for our junk modelling week on monday.
  • Bed time story books are to be returned every Thursday  and sent home on Fridays. Please remove all artwork from folders, only books to be returned please.
Notice:

The nursery team would like to remind parents:
Please leave a bag with a spare set of clothing at nursery. This bag should be a labelled drawstring bag or a carier bag.
As we do not have space for rucksacks, from January childrens rucksacks will be returned and belongings placed in a carrier bag. Rucksacks take up space on pegs making it challenging for the children to access their belongings.

We would also like to remind parents toys from home are not allowed in the nursery. They can be dangerous, cause incidents over sharing and the children become very upset when they get lost or damaged.

Thank you for your understanding

Book of the week:

This week the children have enjoyed the rhyming and alliteration of Hairy Macleary from Donaldsons Diary. We have loved playing with dogs and discussing pets we have at home.

Snack area focus:

This week the children have enjoyed making pizza bagels. Using different ingredients and talking about where food comes from, as well as buying foods from farms and supermarkets.

Play this week:

The children have had lots of fun playing and learning at nursery this week:

We have been playing our musical listening games, practicing out attention and listening skills.

The children have been loving our new small world area, where they have been practicing and discussing our farm topic ready for our big visit next week.

We have continued using our light table this week. The children really enjoy talking and discussing the different ways they can use colours and other objects on the light table.

We have been loving our new mark making experience, practising our fine motor skills and pattern creations.

The children have been having fun pretending to be teachers, recreating the music games we have been playing with last week.

We have been working hard to practice our team building skills, turn taking and sharing with our peers. We use the terms; kind hands and hands to ourselves to support children through challenging moments. We love playing with our friends at nursery and creating fun games which everyone can join in.

Thank you for another amazing week.

The Nursery Team
