Topic:
This week we have been reading The Three Little Pigs. We discussed the different materials used to build the houses in the story. We discussed different types of buildings we live in such as houses, flats, bungalows, caravans etc.
The children enjoyed retelling the story during their choosing time and remembered the key phrases in the story such as "I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down".

Maths:
This week we built on our understanding of zero. We learnt that zero can also mean ‘nothing
there’, ‘none’ or ‘all gone’. We have also have been continuing to develop the skill of
subitising. The children looked at groups of objects and had to instantly
recognise the amount without needing to
count them.
