Toy Donations:

If you have any unwanted toys that you would like to donate, please could you drop them off to Mrs Marie in Aspen class. We would love any dressing up clothes, action figures, dolls, dinosaurs, cars, Happy Land, etc! Thank you!

Returning toys:

If your child has come home with any toys from school, whether this be in their pockets or bag, please could we kindly ask that these are returned as soon as possible as we have had a few small toys go missing some of which were new or belonged to teachers. Thank you!

Reading at home

Just a reminder that it expected that all children read at home at least 5 times a week. Please ensure your child is reading 5 times and you are signing the reading record to evidence this. These can be school books, library books or any books you have at home! Thank you!

The Three Billy Goats Gruff

We read the book and discussed how the troll was unkind to the goats and wouldn’t let them cross his bridge. The children talked about how the goats were feeling at different points in the story. Then we shared the following:

What makes you angry?

What makes you sad?

What makes you scared?

What makes you happy?

We also celebrated Valentines Day this week

We learnt that Valentine's Day is the day of love and affection celebrated annually on the 14th of February every year. It's also known as Saint Valentine's Day or Feast of Saint Valentine. Every year, people show their love for one another by sending Valentine's cards and giving gifts such as chocolates, flowers and teddy bears.
