Literacy

This week in literacy pupils were able to plan an alternative ending to Jack and the Baked Beanstalk and write their alternative ending using suffixes. Pupils focused on changing the original setting of a castle to an adventure park and the actions of each character involved.. 

Maths

This week in math we started learning about time. We used clocks in the classroom to identify what numbers the clock would be on at o clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to. We matched clocks to the time they were showing. We also used our arms to show the minute hand (longer) and the hour hand (shorter). We did a great job!

Science

This week in Science we compared animals that live in the Daintree rainforest in Australia and animals that can be found in Harold Hill. We found out about animals we didn’t know existed! We wrote similarities and differences between the animals.
