VE Day 80th Anniversary Celebrations! You're Invited!

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are delighted to invite you to join us in commemorating the 80th Anniversary of VE Day on Thursday 8th May at 2:30pm.

Nursery AM parents are invited to join at 10:45am.

To mark this significant moment in history, the children will be learning about the events of VE Day and its importance in shaping the world we live in today. This will be a non-uniform day and children are invited to wear the colours red, white and blue. As part of our celebrations, each class will be performing a special song to honour the occasion, and we would love for you to come and watch.

These will be performed in classrooms and following this, you are warmly invited to stay and enjoy a selection of VE Day-themed activities and afternoon tea, prepared with the spirit of the 1940s in mind.

Nursery, Reception and KS1 parents - please wait by the glass doors to be let in.

KS2 parents - please wait by the KS2 doors to the left of the office to be let in.

If you have more than one child we will send the sibling to the classroom you are in after the singing performance to join you for afternoon tea.

We hope you can join us for what promises to be a memorable and meaningful afternoon.

Kind regards,

Mrs Marie

Reception Year Group Lead
