Superworm

This week we have been reading the story 'Superworm',a story about a super strong worm that saves the day. This afternoon we looked closely at some real life worms. We learnt lots of new facts such as worms have no eyes, worms use tiny hairs on their bodies to help them grip the earth and baby worms are called 'wormlets'.

The children were very brave and gently held the worms describing how it felt as they wriggled around in their hands. After we had all looked at the worms we added them to our wormeries so the children can watch as they dig through the earth and create tunnels.
