Porridge for Goldilocks

After reading 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears' Nursery set to work creating porridge that was 'just right'. They measured the oats counting the spoonfuls and poured the milk to the line marked on the jug. We spoke about where we put food to heat it up and after stirring the children had created delicious, hot porridge. They then tasted different fruit toppings including blueberries, bananas, apple and raisins. As well as making and tasting delicious porridge the children were encouraged to re-tell the story as we cooked, they showed great listening skills and were able to join in with the repeated phrases in the story.

Vanessa "I want to be mummy bear... Who has been eating my porridge?"
Naeve "I'm baby bear, i'm sad because she ate it all up!"
