Slime, Slime, Slime

Continuing on from 'Room on the Broom', we were thinking about how all the animals came out of the bog covered in slime.

Today Reception children enjoyed making their own slime and exploring all of the gooey qualities of cornflour and water.
We measured out our cornflour and took turns pouring the water in. We couldn't work out why it was so runny but so hard! Is it solid or is it liquid? Our malleable tools couldn't cut through it but then sometimes it seemed like liquid. We had a great time trying to make sense of this silly substance and we enjoyed discussing how wierd it was.

Abdulkarim: "It's slime!"

Aisha: "It's going to be on my hands forever!"
