Reception Awards 05.11.21

  



We have had another great week and there has been so much to celebrate in Reception! These children have worked extremely hard and have been rewarded for all their hard work and efforts.

E for Excellence

Alder

Harry, for working super hard on his Diwali writing this week. Harry worked with the teacher and used the sound mat to find and write the sounds in his chosen word. Keep up the super work, Harry! 


Apple: 

Chirag, for your hard work in math's sessions. You were super focused and took extra time to add higher numbers. Well done Chirag!


Aspen:  

 Rohith, for his positive attitude to learning. Rohith has been working super hard in his lessons this week. Keep up the great work!








 Star Writers 

Alder

Kai, for his super writing this week. Kai has been listening well in his Read, Write, Inc lessons and has been working hard to sound out words by using his 'Fred fingers'. Well done for pinching on those sounds Kai, keep it up! 

Apple: 


Lochlan, for your fantastic efforts in literacy writing. You independently sounded out what sound a firework makes. AMAZING work Lochlan!


Aspen: 
Lola, for working some hard with sounding out your words in our literacy lessons this week.  Fantastic effort Lola!

 





Learning Power Awards



These are the key skills that our children will need to learn effectively in class and to be successful later in life.

These children have shown interdependence, collaborated effectively, listened to others, displayed empathy and have imitated effective ideas and methods from others.

These pupils have been curious about learning, made links between ideas, shown imagination, reasoned methodically and capitalised on resources.

Congratulations to Emily from Alder Class and her sister Annabel from Cherry Class for their amazing achievement at the weekend! They took part in a dance competition where they had to do do lots of different dances.
Emily came first in all of her dances and received a trophy and 7 medals and Annabel received the biggest trophy on the table and 10 medals!
Emily was voted 'The Most Promising Dancer'.

Reading Awards


These children have read five books from our '105 Books to Read Before you Leave Broadford' and have received the Silver Reading Award.
