Nursery Newsletter 14.9.16

Term: Autumn 1                      Date: 14.09.16

  Dear Parents and Carers,

We are delighted to welcome you to Broadford Primary School. The Nursery Team look forward to working in partnership with you to ensure the best possible start for your children.

Each week you will receive a Nursery newsletter. This is to inform you of what the children will be learning in the coming week and to keep you up to date with relevant news.  There will be paper copies of the newsletter available as you enter the Nursery every week. The Newsletter will also be published on the school website: http://www.broadford.havering.sch.uk or by following the school face book page.

Over the next few weeks we will spend time with your children and help them to make new friends, learn new routines and feel confident in their new Nursery environment. Developing your child’s Personal, Social and Emotional skills will help them to feel confident and to achieve their full potential in all areas of learning.

We aim to ensure a smooth transition from home to Nursery. You may come into the Nursery and settle your child before leaving. Please look at our Transition advice for more information.

Times
Morning Nursery: 8.30am - 11.30am

Routines/Messages
As there is limited space to enter the Nursery Classrooms we kindly request buggies are left in the corridor area if you come into the Nursery classes with your child.
Please be patient whilst we learn names and faces of parents. It may take us longer initially to dismiss the children but children’s safety is our main priority. If parents/carers could wait by the exit door whilst we learn new names this would really help us. There will be another member of staff available slightly away from the entrance door so we can talk to you about any queries/questions you may have without blocking the exit.

Messages.
The children will be able to play outside in all weathers so please ensure they have suitable clothing. Please ensure your child has a pair of named wellington boots to leave in school. Please also ensure your child has a spare set of clothes left in school.
We ask for a voluntary contribution of £1 per half term to support the school to purchase snack resources and provide cooking experiences for the children.

Kind regards,

The Nursery Team
