The children made their own Gingerbread men just like the baker in the 'The Gingerbread Man'. They enjoyed exploring the ingredients needed and following the recipe. We spoke about how the lady baked the gingerbread man in the story and looked carefully at the ingredients in her recipe. The children worked well as a group to follow the pictures on the recipe. They used all of their senses; we smelt the ginger, touched the sticky mixture, looked carefully as we rolled the dough thinly, listened carefully to instructions and finally tasted the delicious end product!
