Dear Parents and Carers,

Today we have more activities for your child whilst at home. We will share the videos to you through Parent Share on Evidence me. Below is a preview of what the activities include, but firstly, for those of you that have had difficulty in loading the videos through Evidence Me, this weeks videos are now available to view through Broadford Primary Youtube account: https://www.youtube.com/user/broadfordprimary/featured

-Nursery Rhyme: Miss Polly had a Dolly, with Miss Cumming

-Story: The Very Hungry Caterpillar, with Miss St Louis (in two parts)

-Activity: Go on a Listening walk; this activity is part of Phase 1 phonics. We have provided some examples of the things we can hear on a listening walk. When you go on yours, encourage your child to listen attentively to the sounds around them. Talk about the different sounds they can hear. You could use ‘cupped ears’ on the  listening walk and record some of the sounds. Whilst on the walk or even after you have enjoyed a listening walk, make a list of all the sounds your child can remember in words/ pictures and if you did recordings use these as prompts.
