Nursery: Home Learning, 25.11.20

 Dear Parents and Carers,

Today is the last day of school closure to children. Children will return tomorrow, 26.11.20, and we will be opening at the usual timings; we look forward to welcoming you all back.

We continue to encourage parents and carers to wear face masks and to adhere to social distancing. Only one adult should come on site to drop their child to nursery/ school and parents/ carers should leave as soon as their child is dropped off.

Morning Session Change to Pick Up

As mentioned before the school closed, the morning session children who are picked up at 11:30am will now be leaving the nursery through the main entrance doors where they are dropped off at 8:30am in the morning. This is to make the transition smoother and quicker in the nursery.

We have more activities for your child whilst at home. These have been shared with you on Evidence Me Parent Share, some of the learning will be embedding what was introduced last week:

-Story: Miss Cumming reads the end of Stick Man Continued with story mapping.

-Nursery Rhyme: Revisit Hickory Dickory Dock with Mrs Chisholm and Mrs Light

-Activity: Revisiting Hopscotch with Mrs Light and Mrs Chisholm - all you will need is a piece of chalk and a stone/ bean bag! Do you remember how to play? Extra challenge: can you hop on your other foot?

-Activity: Get outside! Go on an autumn walk and see what you can find! (Information about the London Loop is attached to this parent share- it is a network of footpaths, fields, parks and trails which loop around London and part of it goes through Havering).

Please send in any photos or videos of your child joining in with the activities using Evidence Me. You will need to tag your child in it for us to view.

If you have any questions you can contact us on eyfs@broadford.havering.sh.uk

Kind regards,

The Nursery Team
