Marvellous Maths in Reception
This week in Reception, the children explored spatial reasoning.
The children selected and rotated shapes using previous knowledge on the properties of shape, while recognising that a shape can be rotated and still be the same shape.
The children were provided with a set of picture templates and were asked to carefully select and rotate the correct shape to fit the outline.
These are the activites we completed throughout the week:
Activities:
Albie: " We matched all of the shapes "
Jaxon: " Look at what I made with the shapes! "
Harry: " This one won't fit because it is not the right shape"
Amedea: " This is the same as yours"
Anika: “They are all rectangles”
Teodor: “They have 3 sides”
