Coronation Day in Reception
Reception enjoyed celebrating the Coronation on Friday as they arrived at school dressed in red, white and blue with some beautiful crowns and tiaras!
We enjoyed traditionally British scones with cream and jam to celebrate. The children spread jam and dolloped cream until they were just right.

Next, it was time for a treasure hunt in the outdoor area that was kindly prepared by Mrs Float. The children loved searching high and low for the pictures and ticking them off on their list. We saw some great reciprocity as they worked together, helping each other top find the last pictures on the list.
Throughout the day, we participated in lots of Coronation themed activities. We also joined the rest of the school to sing the Coronation song that we have been learning. A great day had by all!
