Funny Bones!

This weeks story is Funny Bones. The story is about a big skeleton, a little skeleton and a dog skeleton who set out to scare people in the night. Unfortunately the dog skeleton falls apart and the skeletons try to put him back together again. After reading the story, the children discussed their own skeletons and tried to name different bones in the body.

We decided to draw around a few of our friends and label the bones together. The children worked fantastically as a team and many of them were able to hear the initial sounds in words. We took turns to do the writing and used our RWI sound freeze to help us with our letter formation.

“Our spine is in our back.” Finley
“Leg finishes with the sound ‘g’” Noah
“B-b-back!” Varvara
